Studies in Time and Motion.
Even the most evocative art can become passive upon daily exposure. ArtAevum explores achingly slow art that introduces intrigue, surprise and constant re-connection in a world where shock and awe have become accepted, normalised and eventually ignored.

Founder & Artist, ArtAevum
David Chiverton is a British contemporary artist and moving-image director whose work explores the intersection of high-kinetic velocity, fluid grace, and temporal stillness.
With a career spanning over thirty years in commercial video production, David has spent three decades mastering the mechanics of motion, light, and visual storytelling. His transition into the realm of fine art represents a lifetime of technical expertise distilled into a singular, contemplative concept: Chronostasis—the artistic suspension of a fleeting moment into an infinite, living digital canvas.
Through his premier collection, Athleta Aevum, David strips away the frantic noise of modern motorsport and elite equestrian racing to expose the raw, anatomical poetry and hidden posture of peak performance. In real-time speed, the sheer velocity of these athletes masks their true elegance. Utilizing ultra-high-speed cinematography at 1,000 frames per second, David’s work further slows these moments, revealing the effortless flow, the microscopic adjustments in balance, and the breathtaking grace hidden within the chaos of maximum effort.
A single stride of a champion thoroughbred or the sharp apex of a supercar is stretched across an entire afternoon, allowing the motion to unfold imperceptibly. David’s large-scale digital installations are designed as living art for architectural and luxury spaces—redefining how we experience time, power, and the moving image. He operates from his studio in the UK, accepting a strictly limited number of private, one-of-one commissions worldwide.
